I would happily add some bits about RCD's and discrimination, to reed the regs you would think the only flavour was 30ma @ 40ms. But I don't think anyone is listening, they seem obsessed with them.

Reading from the on-site guide confirms, the person performing the work should be the person issuing the minor works cert, no mention of qualifications or schemes.

You've already cocked up its no longer discrimination its selectivity. God knows why! Discrimination makes more sense
Rcds, if the regs are read and applied properly people would use other flavours.
Good examples would be rcd's for fault protection not additional protection
Fire prevention
Building sites and so on.
Annex with zs's has all the rcds and characteristics
What annoys me is no 100ma time delayed rcbos would make tt domestic submains far cheaper.

fftopic: RCD's & discrimination...….
I went for the job of assistant hospital maintenance man . Being mindful of the crazy political correctness in the health service even back in 1980 , the first question to me by the head of the panel was , " What is discrimination ? " …. I replied in all innocence , " Treating everybody the same , regardless of sexual orientation , country ,class or creed , no nepotism or favouritism " .The head of the panel looked over their glasses & said , " I was referring to the use of protective fusing " …. Ah I said I know that as " Fusing down " ,from the main circuits protective fuse to lower rated fuses to protect individual circuit wiring or apparatus .
I didn't get the job .. found out later nearly half the maintenance department ( All trades " were arrested & charged with stealing hundreds of thousand of pounds worth of plumbing , electrical equipment and all manner of other things that the tax payer footed the bill for at the hospital. One guy being proved to have illegally ordered on several occasions enough fixtures , fittings & materials over a couple of days at a time to completely plumb out a new four bedroom house including the wall mounted boiler & TRV rads .
I'm so very lucky for I'm sure that being the new boy there would have seen me blamed for all manner of things .
