Leaf Blower Recommendation

I (& the family) are considering a leaf blower for the oul boy for Christmas.
Which to go for though?
Corded, cordless or petrol?

Are the corded ones a pain in the ****?
Do the cordless last for any length of time?
And are the petrol ones worth spending a bit more?

I would recommend the good old garden rake, a lot less noise.....

I used the air line and a blower last weekend to do the drive way worked well blew it all into a corner then swept it up

I gave up slinging my leaf blower on my shoulder and fitted the approved front wheel it was heavy work luging it hither & thither & even more when I put it into leaf mulcher mode to fill the attached bag with 10 kg of leaf mulch

These days I use my 150 bar power washer with a 7 mtr hose + a 9 mtr extension hose if needed & a spinning cone of spray to blast & blow the leaves into a 1/2 inch chicken wire wall trap . Then it's easy to shovel up wet leaves into black rubble sacks for compost in four years time .

It's a heck of a lot less effort to let the lance swing back & forth having the back blast pressure support most of the weight . It matters not a jot if the leaves are rain sodden , the power washer lifts & moves them in seconds , You also don't have the problem of dry leaves suddenly getting redistributed in a big gust of wind either. It's also brilliant for taking dry or wet leaves off a lawn or four inch long grass or out of weeds too .

First of all - how big is the area?
I have a largish garden (!/3) acre and as I have grown older I now opt to use a petrol unit - (Not Stihl as whilst the "Rolls Royce" of garden equipment, unless you are using these professionally I personally cannot see how you can justify the expense.) - the motorized unit I use is carried as a backpack.
First class, I can manage this fine and for significant periods of time BUT, please taken note, when you are not using them they are quite awkward and on the large size to store.
