Hi All I've just got a 3 tonne Laycock 4 post I see DRW had the same issues I'm having. I have just ordered a single phase motor to change out the 3 phase. If there is anything you could help with or point me in the right direction and how bad is the motor to convert. If anyone has a manual for it I am happy to pay for it.
Cheers Mark
I have the manual and the parts list in PDF form if you send me a PM I'll send them to you. Mine is a 3ph and I run it with an invertor. You do need to make sure the motor spins the correct way.
I didn't use the manual when I installed mine, I just put the platform on some skates then sited the uprights. The best way is to do it once you have power, get the pump operating so you can get some tension on the cables with a bit of lift then move the uprights so the cables are plumb. The safety arms should be under tension on the outside the cable so that if cable breaks they tighten against the clutch rod. It's all pretty obvious if you look at how the mech works.
Personally I see the dimensions in the manual as a rough guid to placement not something finite.
