I can cut, mitre and mig weld up one of the Carla Cargo frames from scratch in just under 6 hours or 8 hours if tig welding one..... the two caravan Carla Cargo frames I made for my friend were tig welded throughout. They are currently being fitted out; one as a Vardo style caravan and the other as a canvas bow top caravan ready for the impeding summer holidays.... a full set of project photos are to follow upon completion (and there is already talk of a couple of tear drops based on the same running frame for next year.

If any one is interested I've copied out the material & cutting list for the Carla Cargo heavy duty bicycle trailer from the link, so just download it from the PDF file link at the bottom of this page, print it off and take it to your local steel supplier and get a quote for the steel.

To simplify things:

Assume 20x 20x 1.5 is equal to ¾”x¾” x 16 gauge ERW square section tubing.

Assume 15x 15x 1 is equal to ⅝”x⅝” x 16 gauge ERW square section tubing.​
