If you ever want to get rid of it, please let me know!!
So do I. It makes you more aware and keeps others from using your kitYes, but we still have skin remaining on our hands and arms.
Seriously? You are welcome to make an offer. I'm in a serious dejunking phase at the moment. If you ever want to get rid of it, please let me know!!
I am decluttering too but I think the Picador is so versatile. I wouldn't want to insult you with an offer you considered wrong, perhaps a PM with what you would like to get for it?Seriously? You are welcome to make an offer. I'm in a serious dejunking phase at the moment.
I also have a pair of matching un-machined picador step pulleys in that box.
Does a Dymo label maker count ?I'll see you and raise a Pantograph Engraver
Deckel? Definitely gonna need a picture of that one.I'll see you and raise a Pantograph Engraver

That is one spoilt bag of cement, you bought it its own dehumidifier! I feel buying a new bag if it went off would have been cheaper thoughAlexander 2B which is a Deckel clone

On a more personal note, do hand engraving tools count ? More skill required than a pantograph.Games not over yet
Impressive I can't remember now what was this was thread about? It's all got a bit sillyWe all seem to have gone way off topic, and hopefully have not dissuaded @GRW from entering into the realm of acquiring a lathe or mill.

Agreed, but a bit of fun none the less; we all need a little more fun in life................ I can't remember now what was this was thread about? It's all got a bit silly
And then theirs a bright eyed young man who will quickly appeare to save said object from moss bay metals! With the obligatory tokens for work place biscuits and beerThe tooling is the annoying thing. You can spend a big chunk on a machine tool, but then forever after you're piecing away buying tools here there and everywhere...
We still have an Omerod shaper in our workshop at work. It's simple and bulletproof, so everyone uses it for shaping keys to fit shafts/pulleys etc. Even the apprentices can't kill it. Sadly it falls foul of machinery guarding regs so its days are numbered...
No disrespect intended, but more than 50 years ago I learned about lathe operation by reading a book. It should still be relevant today, even with the hundreds of videos on YouTube, or interaction with machining forums like " Model Engineering ", which were non exhistant years ago. Nowadays, you can have your cake and eat it too. Consider checking with your local Library, and also google metal working forums.Im not worried about the convo wandering off-topic
It's all related and I learn something (even if what I learn is just that there's a vast amount I don't have a clue about ).
I'm working on making space by moving stuff about and making things portable...but I doubt I could make room for anything except a mini-Lathe of some sort even then.
But there is still the barriers of being clueless about how to use one, let alone understand the tooling and what to use for what, the correct speeds, materials etc ad nauseum.
I also haven't a clue what I'd make on one, and what useful things I could make for my van/bike etc. - and ignorance on all combined is a bit of a barrier
But.... you never know!
