A friend of mine suggested converting it to single phase but ive read the 3 phase is a better motor and you also have the option of variable speed should you require it , and dont forget the t300 speeds are exactly half that of a m300 even though the motors run at the same speed .
unless they have a vertical head atachment and u get one with them there verry limited to what u can use them for . and getting hold of any vertical atachment on there own is like getting hold of rocking horse sh,.,..,tOk so as milling on the lathe is not ideal , how about the harrison or boxford mills they look like they dont take up too much room , there are some harrison mills for sale an hour or so away in north scotland going for a good price that have been in storage with only light use , they are horizontal though but may be worth a look due to the light use.

the only downside is top end speed isnt as high as a vertical mill but no probs depending on what your making the harrison is a nice sturdy millExactly what I thought , that's why he has listed no refunds , no contact information available either and also registered as a personal seller , and pointed out he does not have to abide by distance selling as he is a personal seller , looks to me like its part of his business and he is breaking ebay rules by registering as personal .
Any thoughts on the Harrison mill with a vertical head Jon
