Or mark out where it is, steam it off carefully paint and replace?

I would make sure you flush it out and try and clean the fins out of any bugs or leaves ect, paint it and refit.

Sorry guys, I should've made it clear. I'm not so worried about the sticker. Mainly the state of it. has quite allot of surfice rust.

I have left many a fitting off a brake line after flaring!...frustrating aint it?

Im sure you know your way around high build primer...it works great and eventually all those pits and divots from the rust disappear....If it were me, I would drill out the rivets, repaint the blower motor cover and put new rivets back in then clear the whole thing. I think a black paint with natural silver rivets would look cool. then just get an new sticker or have one made up locally at the sign shop....

I was actually thinking about doing this exact thing, seems the only logical thing to do. I also thought about getting it powder coated but not so sure.

I keep a few rattle cans of black satin sheen for that sort of thing. Black gloss shows up every imperfection, black matt takes finger prints too well so the satin is a good middle road in my view.

If the label comes off reasonably clean, photograph it, touch up in Photoshop (or similar), then print it out. Give it a few coats of clear coat, then stick it on.

I find that paint never covers properly. I'm always left diaspointed may have to fire the spray gun up again.

I don't think I would powder coat it, all the powder coating I've seen has a different sheen to it, don't think it would look right. Only my opinion though, I think I would go for the rattle can, I've used Plastikote in the past on towbars, wheels & things like that, & it comes out a sort of semi glos, satin finish similar to what it would have been. I think it was called Plastikote black metal finish from memory, got it from B & Q & it covered well & was tough as old boots. If you look on the Plastikote web site or B & Q's you should find it.

EDIT Just tried to find it, but can't, lots of Plastikote paints, but not the one I recall, might be just a change of name.

Hi Kim ZG90 cold galvanising spray comes in black gloss , its a good drop of paint , covers well !

Forgot to post these yesterday.
As you can see I got my new servo and brake master, both are for puma. I've been told the servo for puma makes for an easier push giving more stopping power.
Anyway, luckily the gaskets for both were rubber and still perfectly entacked, bolted them right up. Just realised I've forgotten to put the connecting pin on from the pedal to servo. I'll do that when I get home from work.

I also started making the nsf brake line. Got all the way to the clutch master with it but i wasn't sure where it went after so had to stop while I waited for some more pictures from a friend.

I'm really pleased with how it's coming out. When I get some more brake line I should be able to make the final bit and bleed it up

Those pressure bleeders are fine, if you use them right re: fluid levels and such. Maybe there's a knack to using them that I inadvertently just do?

I do see quite a few people complain about bleeding various vehicles, but never had a problem myself

Hi, yes same here, I've been told that another way is to have brake fluid in an oil can with a hose onto the bleed nipple and then just pump the fluid/air up to and through the master cylinder. I can see the logic because the air wants to rise and it can be done on your own. I've never had occasion to try it so don't know how effective it is, anyone else use this method?

Landy clutches like to hold air in the pig tail curly bit of the line. I generally bleed mine up, and then rebleed after about a week once everything has settled

I have had a Gunson pressure bleeder for 30+ years. Think I paid about £7.50 for it. Still going strong and being used on cars, motor bikes (bit of plate and a bit of inner tube as a seal), truck and busses. Fit an air line coupling in place of the tyre valve adaptor to suit your compressor and connect using a regulator set at around 20psi. More reliable and saves chasing a spare wheel. Make sure the seal for the cap on the master cylinder is good. Borrow from the reservoir cap if needed. Anytime your near a scrap car, acquire the different caps to make your kit fit more cars as its cheaper than buying the Gunson caps.
If you need to back bleed then a piece of hose in place of the cap and fitted to the bleed nipple works.

I have a Gunson Bleed kit never failed with it, bought a new clutch slave cylinder and master cylinder for the 6x6 and because the lid of the master cylinder is different and I have not got an adapter or spare lid I can modify, I cannot bleed the bl**dy thing, I have bought the tool (was cheap I admit) that causes a vacuum which you fit on the slave cylinder bleed nipple and that has not worked, bought a more expensive one and that has failed as well.

I've backfed the brakes on motorcycles using a big syringe of fluid with a pipe connected to the bleed nipple.

I just use a vacuum pump attached to the master cylinder a pipe off the nipple into a bottle of fluid easy.....
