Or get a couple spun - likely quite pricey though.

If you have your own lathe you could spin it. Wouldn't be that difficult for a man of your talent!

Cheers, I'll have a look at the preformed one you mentioned. Any idea what technical search term to put in Google? I've no idea what the scaled size would be but I'd hazard a guess at around 500-600mm. Don't hold your breath for the finished article..there's usually quite a while between conception and fruition!

Well what do you know! Steel dish pipe caps are just what I need!feels like I'm cheating a bit though

Thanks guys. Cheers for the suggestion about the wok. Had a look at the one in the kitchen and while it's looks "too domed" for the tank ends, I'm sure I could modify one for the cleaning hatch located on the rear. I think the pressed dish is the way forward, I'm just afraid to price one!

These ones look about right but there are lots. They are very mass produced so not mega, mega bucks. You may even find a dead one somewhere as they don't last forever. I know there is one on our scrap heap

Got a request from my newphew to make him some farm machinery implements for behind his pedal tractor. First off was a silage trailer which I copied on this..

And the result...

No point having a trailer without a harvester!

Never again! I lost count of the hours involved
