I had one similar some years ago for one car. Autolocked, needed a key to get it open - I took it with me in a new car . . . locked it . . . when I came to leave, remembered were the key was - on the other key ring 15miles away . . .one application of hacksaw later through a weld on the claw bit and it was off . . . welded it back on later.This style of steering wheel locking bar by " Sold Secure " ( not Halfords ) is fairly good for if it's popped on the steering wheel correctly with a D shackle either side of the spokes the only way it will come off is if the steering wheel is removed or the steering wheel is cut in two places .

Got a Stop lock on mine as a visible deterent - fingers crossed . . .
