Hi I have only just joined this forum,


I have just bought a new Parweld XTI 181C Mig Welder with a Argon Mix Albee Bottle from a welding supplies company in Saltash, Cornwall and they are definetly worth a look. I am a novice and only weld cars and odd bits of heavier if its needed and this welder seems to do the lot. Give them a look highly recommend

Hi All,

It's been a while and I am sorry to bump an old thread. But I have finally got round to purchasing a welder (read the last few pages to jog your memory lol)

So I was set out to buy one today, re logged in this forum and found my original post regarding it.

So as Kieth advised, there was a sealey supermig 150 that came with a regulator on this site:

So I rang them up to find out what kind of valve entry it was for the connection to the pub bottle (I needed Side/horizontal) and they rang me back and they confirmed it was a side entry one. So I bought that.
I also found out what diamiter the tip was for the wire. It was 0.6MM so I was browsing through the guides regarding mig welding on here and I found that the best one is this which I have also bought.

Next is to get the gas bottle (10L) from my local distributor JR gasses. £50 for 5 years and 17.50 for argon co2 mix refill.

I would just like to say thank you for your help and that the help provided prooved to be very useful today after a long time.
Once again many thanks and hopefully I will see more of this when I post/search answers for my beginning in the welding industry!!!!
