Log burner has been used a couple of times lately, the heating is staying off for now...

Diesel heater on a bit while away in camper in N.Wales this weekend (not strictly necessary but pleasant 1st thing in the morning).
In the house the windows are finally closed, but no heating on yet.

my house every sat is B&M pick n mix night like the Swedes do, sweets only at weekends....sitting in front of the log burner roaring away with a pot of sweets and youtube on telly was extra special with a nip in the air last couple of nights.

The Mrs has been saying "it's cold" for a few days, pfft women are nesh.

My other half would be 'Cold' in the Sahara Desert at midday.

At the slightest hint of a draft she's freezing.......

Next door neighbour lit his log burner last night. Unfortunately there was a birds nest in the chimney.
Cue a visit from the fire brigade

Got one just the same "thermostat, that's a total waste of time just turn it up to MAX" hopeless when I try to explain how thermostats work. A constant battle of wits, that she always wins . I find it just so uncomfortable though. (not the battle of wits, the cold).

We lit the log burner last night.
Combination of wind and rain just made it feel extra wintery.
Had the first hot chocolate of the season too

Heating won't be on until at least after the clocks go back.

We have a 'Hive' controller the temp sensor is in the controller........

I've been know to take the control unit up stairs into the office where it is nice n warm, if the computers been on a while.....

I ran the Mosa generator in the shop for a good 20min with a 3kw electric heater as a load.
Not because I was cold, but just to keep the generator happy. I do that every couple of weeks.
Was nice and toasty inside after that.
