It's no bother, and it has saved you wasting your time on someone elses foolhardy idea. I'm quite sure a lot of us will have dealt with similar types in the past. You can likely guess why some of us are a bit cynical on occasion. Once bitten twice shy, as they say. It might sound harsh, but whenever someone says they have a great idea, nine times out of ten, they don't.

The problem is with this type of project is not knowing what its for, but designing it. At one time your diagram was almost identical to the pedal cutters we used to use for extricating drivers who had mangled feet etc.

But then you mentioned 18 inches to 30 inches and lost me completely. lol

Plus, as you don't appear to know anything about tyre fitting, you'd really be onto a loser trying to design something for that purpose. I have recently made a bead breaker myself and, even though I am not new to tyre fitting and had a good idea what was needed (just upgrading gear without the price tag) it took a lot of head-scratching.
