That has nothing to do with JLR vehicles!

Tata doing consulting for Vinfast. Vinfast is a Vietnamese startup trying to make cars from scratch. They have no engineering base of their own. All elements of the vehicle are either bought in or engineered by third parties.

Their vehicles are on a par with Chinese entry level home market only vehicles.

This is a review of their latest 'much improved' version - including the fix for the well known suspension issues.

There was nothing for him to 'whistleblow' about - the issues were in the public domain and the NHTSA is conducting an investigation.

Having 'left' Tata Consulting he then chose to polish his ego by posting on social media. This isn't 'whistleblowing'.

The individual worked for Tata and breached the standard confidentiality clause of an employee of a consultant. He 'left' Tata and later took a short term agency position with JLR. Once his unreliability was brought to light it would be entirely normal to not renew such an agency position.

All it did was got him black listed from any future jobs in the industry.

He has, however, rendered himself unemployable as the first thing any competent HR department does these days is Google the candidate's name!

The same day he was sacked, Mr Denli was blacklisted on industry recruitment platform Magnit, which told JLR he had been "red-flagged" so any applications from him for other work via the platform would be automatically declined.

The disgraceful behaviour of the arsh-licking HR employees puts me off JLR products, too.
Tata and the like can go and jump themselves.

Wait for the rush of poorly developed and tested EV's forced onto the market early that will put the consumer off even further

It doesn't.

The idea is that it forces you to bear the true economic cost of your externalities (the emissions), increasing the price of the high carbon activities, thus creating a level playing field between high and low carbon options.

Using them on their own, is a pretty crude "Stick Only" approach to behaviour change...

They need to be paired with substantial financing support for a transition to the alternatives to work effectively, which is what both the UK and EU has missed.

The USA and China have been rather better at doing both, although it remains to be seen if the US continues to do either.

Yes!

Which makes it all the more ironic that they have also been more successful that most at developing green industries.

It's unfortunate that they were such big polluters to start with even significant improvements are a drop in the ocean.
