I got this over the second half of the panel. One photo shows a decent finish. This is the first half of each spray. It is a good finish until halfway. Then the other two photos show how crap the second half looks. The first half of the panel is the thin strip beside the windscreen and doors. The second half is the rear quarter panel down to the arch.
I think this will cut out just about but it is a pain having to do it on every panel.
I had this the other day on the boot I sprayed. It was on the roof but nowhere else?
I don’t have any extraction unless I open the back door to my garage but then the temperature may drop too low.
I tried opening the front and back door slightly but then it’s a complete disaster and every single piece of hair or fibre gets blow onto the panel.
I thought it was happening possibly because I was spot spraying any areas I had missed at one point and didn’t have enough paint to do the full panel again. I then checked my work on all spot spraying areas and the first half of the panel that had one area of spot spraying had a nice finish.
I watched a video of someone spraying a home made booth with fans. They did a whole car so there was a lot of overspray being sent on to every un sprayed part of the car. That overspray would surely be collected by the fan.
Their booth looked a lot clearer when they were spraying. My garage is absolutely chocka with overspray until I open the back door then it billows out.
It could be that the front of the car isn’t as badly affected because the spray cloud doesn’t build up and land on freshly sprayed paint as bad causing issues with flow out.
It could also be because I started to run out of paint on the rear of the panel and the gun started to spit?
