We have a couple of home made stripper things, for small parts, saves bending the punches if the plate isn't under properly, doubles up as the pusher under tool.
The touch and cut arms are great. Big timesavers but a bit vulnerable to damage.
I bought a new stripper for ours as it was worn and rattled about. Parts are eye-wateringly expensive for them.
Small fab shop near us has a old Kingland with a flywheel, you pull on an old toilet chain to make it work. Mid 70's one he thinks. Loads of power, just not very accurate. No table either, have to hold yer bit of plate ontop of the die. Cropper bit basically bites yer metal and twists it in half. Like blunt scissors when they turn the paper sideways in the blades instead of cutting it.
