I thought personal injury claims were effectively ruled out a couple years back due to a law change.

I read last week about a stolen £200,000 Bentley, stolen from London and discovered in a lock up in Pakistan, the thieves didn’t realise it was fitted with a tracker, just goes to show how quickly cars are removed from the country after being stolen.

there was a programme on TV a few years ago when the reporter took a helicopter with a tracker reader on & flew over an African city & there were dozens of stolen cars below. Mainly Range Rovers & that sort of thing, it appeared that they were stolen to order, in a shipping container & gone, once in the container it blocked the tracker. I think the city was Lagos, but really not sure.

That's what we did with Mrs Robo's car, can't remember the exact figures, but got it back plus a cheque for £900, it cost me a couple of hundred in parts and we pocketed the rest

Years ago a friend of mine across the road had a Nissan Stanza hatchback, anyone remember them ? Anyway it got hit and needed a headlamp, bumper and wing but parts were unavailable new so it was written off and carted away. He asked if he could buy it back and lo and behold two days later it was outside the house when we came home from work, no explanation and no bill. A second hand headlamp was found and a bumper and wing which was the correct colour all took about a day and half to repair with a minor bit of welding to the lamp mount. He was about £1000 in profit by the time it was all added up and had the car for another 4 years.
