I'm glad you said, Professional.Join the professionally awake club.
Has the totally opposite effect on me. I realised, when I was still living at the old place, that beer was my friend. I sleep like a top if I have a bottle of beer. It's the only thing which has worked for me.

So, I guess I'll have a beer tonight. In fact, I'll rephrase that slightly. It makes me tired, hence I can more readily get to sleep, which is where my problem usually lay.

The problem often seems to be that the good effects on whatever last for fairly short lengths of time and the acclimatisation sets in.
Least your going the right way!Well at the moment I'm sitting on 4 and a half hours in the past 48 the joys of signing off ships. No alcohol to help Either.
Yep definitely will get my sleep pattern sorted out by the time to go back haha.Least your going the right way!
I recently read that you can get medical weed on private prescription for sleep.
Im not a fan and do find them a bit warm.Has anyone else had problems with memory foam mattresses?
Then when you wake up you find your pillow covered in drool.Relaxation can be helpful for getting to sleep. Although it might not work all the time, it's worth trying and it's free. Lie down and find a comfortable position. Concentrate in turn on every part of the body, and try and relax it. I find the face is a good place to start. Let your face drop, imagining it tp be heavy like lead, and relax your jaw and forehead as well. Then, in turn, neck, arms, chest, and so on. When you get to your toes, repeat, as tension can return. Imagine a calm serene scene, like a deserted beach, with just gentle lapping of the waves on the shore.
