*If* your vehicle can tow it - and licence allows.
My volvo (V70) can tow a 1.8T trailer. *I* can't drive if i'm towing more than a 1.4T (rated) trailer.
My lexus could tow a 2T trailer (but only 1.3T if i'm driving)
is it 7and a half-ton your allowed to drive when you passed your test before a certain date i no they have to take a test to tow a trailer these days not back in the day when i passedI'm guessing you're a youngster... I have C1E on my licence ("grandfather rights", although I look older), Combined weight 8250 kg, the old "three and a half tonner" equivalent?

I would think its common sense to loading a trailer I just keep watching to see how far it drops if it doesn't look overloaded I don't think you would get pulled as there is no reason to unless there is a purge and stopping everyone to go to the weighbridge I would have thought

An unbraked trailer might have a limit of 750kg . . .but your car might not - so the lower weight applicable to the car applies as far as I'm aware.
It depends. It's all about the Gross Train Weight..
Correct except thr last part you arnt restricted to 3.5 actual weight you could have a 3.5t tow vehicle and a 3.5t plated trailer both full loadedIt depends.
License wise it's all about plated weights.
In terms of vehicle towing limits, it's done on actual weight.
I.e. if your vehicle weighs 2000kg and can only tow 1500kg, without a trailer license you can only legally tow a trailer with a maximum gross weight of 1500kg, but with a trailer license, you can tow a trailer with any maximum plated weight up to 3500kg, provided it's actual weight doesn't exceed 1500kg.

If you dont have grandfather rights or a b+e licence then you are limited too 750kgs as your maximum trailer weight.

With brakes and no plate they go by the rating of your suspension units, how they know that I have no idea, failing that I think its load rating of the tires
