impact wrench recommendations

Stupid thread. It made me buy the little M12 impact too. Same as @dobbslc has just bought!

I need a new soldering iron so it makes sense to get one of the m12 ones next perhaps!

I recently bought a Milwaukee impact gun, about 1400NM, very impressive piece of kit, it’s not until you get a high powered gun that you think to yourself why did I not get one ages ago.
You need to lean on them though, if you don’t it’s so easy to strip the head of the nut in about 3 seconds if it slips ….. As I found out with a bolt hidden inside a crossmember, that was fun!

I had a smaller 18v fakita and it was pretty decent for general work and would just about undo wheel nuts if they were not over torqued.

I bought one of the fakita high torque wrenches from Aliexpress.

Very impressed by this tool. The driveshaft nuts on the van are torqued to over 300 Nm. It loosens them off without a bother. You just have to be careful when tightening as it would be easy to wring off a nut.

You do need a 4 or 5 Ah battery to get the best performance.

Did you get one with the batteries, or use genuine Makita ones?
(I don't gave any Makita cordless, & suspect the wrench might be a lot less impressive on the Fakita it comes with).
