I've got one that's had more than a few licks taken out, it's square now and fits my 4 jaw.

Just make an adaptor hex/square to fit a socket, then use slow speed on a battery drill, works fine for me and saves infinite turning.

Done that too, it lives on the 7.2v Mak' impact driver that's too weak for any actual drivering.

Think they probably were 5 sided, just the fifth side had a long radius shape to it, when I take them off they will likely be a full circle

no probs with Allen key's but the "torx" bit sizes drive me nuts.......
seemingly the torx screw / bolts r mad from cheese.......or is it me.....!!!!!!!!.
had some good German torx wood screws tho........
do u know of the name of the pos drive bit for drywall screws, never had any luck with them....
usually get the diamond coated bits from Whira that seen to last just a little while...
guess the drywall screws are something special......
bit like Jap m/cycle screws of old....

Me too I put white shrink sleeve on my imperial set.

Still doesn't stop me wanting to stab whoever invented the 5.5mm allen key in the face

but when you have a thickoe working for u they cant tell the difference and use either even though u put different colour tape on them so u can tell quickly

There are some special people out there, aren't there. I used to work with one bloke who was a walking disaster. He could manage to do any task incorrectly, no matter how many times you showed him.
