The story so far.
Well I suppose it was about time I actually put this land rover of mine up on here, started the strip down a couple of years back. All the bodges of which there are many kind of started to get to me as well as not having any proper workshop facilities. Anyway it is time I got my back side and gear and got on with this project. So there are some important decisions to make.
I have bought some of the repair panels required to fix the rear tub, it is such a bad state of repair im not sure its actually worth saving. Have been considering making it into a tray back like the ozzies would as the conventional rear tub is a bit useless. Along these lines its a swb landy.
Another decision that has to be made as well I have a disco 200tdi engine, turbo is nacked and it came out of an extremely rotten 2 door disco and needs an overhaul, there is also the original engine which is a 2.25 diesel nice unit but needs a full rebuild. Question is do I go with the 200 tdi or try keep 2.25d the car was originally a petrol so I'm not as worried about originality.
If you want to catch up on some of my earlier progress of this restoration then heres the link to the landy zone thread I started on it.
