I have not changed address on driving license

i lost mine so got a replacement after a few years wifey found it and stuck it in the drawer. think i got pulled and had to produce it sharp eyed copper said this isnt the one you have a replacement . ohh rite went and got it and cut the old one up he must have thought i was pulling a fast one mebbe with points on the new one

Might not be a bad little job. I drove a mobile bank van on an occasional basis for a few years. 'Twas cushty, all I did was drive for a short while, park up, wait and then do a bit more driving. I refused point blank to have anything to do with the customers. Is the van over 3.5T?

i had to relent and get a mugshot licence and pay for it everyone including banks wants to see evidence who you are

you cant hold a d license as it must be addressed somewhere or you get access to the post from that address

though it dosnt mean anything as it donst mean you have to live there even though its implied

a po box cannot be used either

Gaz. Plenty people are charged with an offence and get away with it. Sometimes it's down to lack of evidence, sometimes it's down to the prosecutors (wide term) having more pressing demands on their time, sometimes it's down to good lawyers.

But that's not what we're arguing here. Not notifying the DVLA of a change of an address is an offence. Whether you can or have beaten the charge isn't relevant. The original query was "Am I committing an offence" and the clear response is "yes".

Wasn't really aimed at that particular species, there must be hundreds of thousands of normal folk permanently on the move or living in temporary accommodation.

I once watched a TV program where a girl lived in her car and the car was her registered address. It got lifted and sent to the pound for being badly parked and they had to let her have it back without paying.

its not really an offence as long as you dont drive a vehicle its if you continue to drive and you havent informed dvla where you now live to send possible fines to you then it becomes an offence

the same reference is also applied to the photo card driving license and that means f.a as many still drive around with there paper license

some have applied that your d license is invalid if your photo hasnt been updated which is infact untrue

my opinion is still the same dvla should stop selling our data and bring it back into line where it was designed for to prove that you could drive a vehicle and where courts and police have the only reference to it other than council parking fines

I have a paper licence which gives you extra categories and kept hearing it was now illegal so checked it out. Still fine and legal.

That is my understanding at the moment. All my mail goes to the shop and my accounts and documents are registered to the flat above, all perfectly legitimate. Otherwise what would anyone do if they have more than one property?
