Yes I did. I found it minutes after he listed it and asked if would be adding a BIN price. He said not so I thanked him for the reply and said I'd be having a bid on it. The next day he sent me an email saying that he'd had so much interest he was adding a BIN. So I snapped it up. He was a nice bloke that worked with pneumatic production machinery. It works well but I really need to sort out the garage supply and fit a dedicated commando socket for it.

i've got the same pump but mine was a tripod mounted so i mounted it on a 150ltr tank lovely bit of kit i can work in the garage at the side of it. it's that quiet. i've got mine hard wired into the fuzebox in the garage on it's own 32 amp breaker. a dodle to service aswell. mine will run a 3mm nozzle all day at 80psi. have you ever looked how much a new one like the one you bought would cost. " you got a bargain"

The first Hydrovane I bought was a single phase 1.1kw tripod type that I linked to a 50 litre tank. It worked well but was only a lower pressure type (8 bar?) but that started me looking for the higher airflow type.
I don't really know how much such an item would be new. From what you've said I guess very expensive?
Discovering quiet powerful Hydrovanes was a complete shock to me, I didn't realise such kit was available to the DIYer.

Steve, I ve got to agree with you. I recently bought a 1984 10 bar single phase hydrovane. After a little work its like new. I cant beleive that I can now listen to my radio when it charging! Now I use a 9cfm 3" polisher but it works well as I have the larger 50 tank which gives me at least 10 mins working on a panel before it slows too much. The motor obviously kicks in and tries to fill but I dont mind running out of air as I know that way I am not over heating the paint while polishing. I am only doing it for a hobby so I can wait.

The new supply is in to the garage, a nice piece of armoured cable to a steel fuse box wired back to a 40A 30mA RCD. I've split the garage 13amp sockets into 2 seperate rings both under fused using 16A type B breakers and the Hydrovane has it's own 2.5 T+E feed to a 16A socket fused by a 16A type C breaker. It's tested OK using professional testing equipment and the Hydrovane seems happy.
So tonight's the night I start shot blasting again. Just a few cast engine brackets to start off with.

I just got this in for repair:
Pretty sure I can repair it but one or two bits may need replacing, along with the vanes I should expect.
I almost certainly need another one of these.
Fixing it for a local bike shop, any and all help greatly appreciated. Would be nice to get hold of a manual or at least some technical data, it has a couple of other issues apart from not running.
This doesn't look to good. Can I just poke it back in and Gaffa tape or is Duck tape the better option?

It's a specific oil you need to use, Fluid Force 2000. I service kit includes an oil separator, air filter and pressure gauge.

It's less than a litre because the oil change procedure says place a container of at least 1 litre under the drain plug. It is a special oil too Fluid Force 2000 or Fluid Force Clear
When I got mine I bought a service kit and 5L of oil. In a home environment then probably the oil needs to be changed more often to make sure there is no moisture.
Not sure if you are aware but these things really need to be run for a good period of time to get hot and make sure all the moisture evaporates, they are not suited to pumping up some tyres once a month.

hi thanks for the info buddy i ordered FUCHS RENOLIN AC 2000V ROTARY VANE COMPRESSOR OIL from brammer buck&hickman as i could not fine any ware in peterborough that i can go and pick up
