Have you thought about junking that steering box for a rack? Might help with manifold clearance Just a thoughtI got the lift plate transferred over from the Rover and decided I might as well go for it. Took a bit of juggling due to the non -adjustable lift but it went in ok.

It actually fits better than the Rover which was mounted very high to clear the steering. The Chrysler sump fits like it was designed for the job, clearing both the steering and crossmember. The photo makes it look like it is not going to allow the rad to fit but it's an optical thingy, there's more than enough room.
The same can't be said for exhaust manifolds. I have a set of long tube headers that looked like a possible fit but it's just too tight.

Ignore the wood, it's just holding the lump central. As you can see the rear tube will have to go up and over the steering box. I also had to remove the Chrysler 90degree oil filter fitting so its a remote setup in future.

More room here but it's still going to be a remanufacture of what I have.
Beer festival tomorrow so no work on this (or anything).
