Word for word the post that was shared on facebook.
At least have some originality, or get the age of the pyramids right.

The driveway or the tankSpeaking about contractors not caring, my wife knows a woman who has had a house built and the bright sparks who installed the septic treatment plant, put it right in the middle of her driveway so she has this 2.5m round tank sticking out of the ground about 300-400mm. So she is in now in a bun fight to get it dug out and put in the right spot.
Brad93: That's where my wife got it from and sent it to me, I just thought it might give someone a laugh here, I wasn't about to spend a lot of time fact checking something like this. The point of this was to just point out the stupidity of what goes on nowadays by people who should know better. I wasn't trying for originality, sorry if you took offence at this. Unfortunately too much of this crap is going on! Whether the pyramids are 2500 or 4500 years old really isn't the issue, that line was just tongue in cheek and most people would realise that.Word for word the post that was shared on facebook.

Is that for the Gravelly Hill interchange ?
70's again, from the window behind my lathe at work I watched a team of guys laying large concrete pads with studs in for an obviously large factory to go on. I never saw them even use a tape measure of any sort, but some guy simply poked studs into the concrete while it was setting, I never saw any measuring or fixtures to locate the studs, but when the steelwork arrived it all slotted into place and fitted perfectly.Back in the 1970's, we poured some 6'x6'x6' foundation blocks for an overhead crane rail with bolt templates provided for us. When the columns arrived, and before we unloaded, I noticed the base plates were the wrong size; so the shipment was sent back. A couple of weeks later the shipment came back, but instead of replacing the base plates, larger baseplates were just welded on, which made the columns too tall to fit under the overhead cable trays in the fuselage factory. An expensive cockup for Lockheed, but not for us as we only had the contract for foundations and erecting.
I'd guess there's not actually 34 ways, just the cover hasn't been placed correctly....
Just seen the intended improvements. Is that for the Gravelly Hill interchange ?

That's known as an "Arm wave" ....where a manager, who doesn't want to spend the time to do it right, will simply arm wave the job changes, and say "Any idiot can see that this will fix it".Back in the 1970's, we poured some 6'x6'x6' foundation blocks for an overhead crane rail with bolt templates provided for us.
