What’s the timber? I find they only like really nice stuff, crates are usually made of junk.
The 1970/80's one were cheep grade D timber, normally pine. Modern ones are mostly pine. A lot from reclaimed timber.
The bigger Wine Houses do use good timber, they will always be worth more than un named ones. Again mostly pine.
You do get some hard wood ones.
The French ones that make good money are the:
Hard Wood ones.
Famous name.
Good condition.
With a famous Chateau named on it.
The rest, unless in good condition, are not worth saving if damaged.
