I span it up to about 1500 RPM in the lathe and the centrifugal switch arms stayed put - it didn't actuate. In my experience these switches actuate at fairly low RPM and it's usually possible to spin the rotor sufficiently fast with a length of cord around the rotor shaft, but maybe this motor is an exception? This motor is rated about 3000 RPM.So is it really up to speed and are the bearing felts wet?
