a dust over with tungsten disulphate , or disulphide , I can never remember which it is is always good for such situations , I use it on the spline joints of BMW bikes and it seems to serve well , better than molybdenum grease that honda uses on goldwing shafts , again a bit late now but always handy to have some about ,, its eyewateringly expensive though ,,, but then again so are driveshafts.
