How to get cutting oil stains out of a good t-shirt?

When fresh spray it with Brake cleaner (may take the colour out so spray a bit on the armpit first. (take it off first!!) After washing I have no idea.

Yes white. It's not obligatory to get filthy, just like it's not obligatory to have an untidy workshop.

Most of the time if I'm doing something messy I'll be wearing a boilersuit.

if you have given up on the shirt then try using wd40 on it. I have used this to get oil stains out of clothing that I didn't mean to get oil stains on then normal wash afterwards

if nothing else it will slip on and off easier

Dry cleaning would likely get it all out, if soaking it in a stain remover doesnt.

Wearing my best white shorts I was attacked with a blue permenent marker pen

From what I remember, brake cleaner didnt touch it, but MEK on a tissue worked quite well, but leaving a light stain. Several washings with vanish powder (cheap poundland one) have shifted the rest and now looks ok.

After suggestions after I did a bit milling in a new t-shirt, I got sprayed in cutting oil. Been through the washing machine and still stained.

*Try * rubbing neat Swarfega (or Fairy liquid) into the stains then wash it again. (But I think you’re dead!)

Mrs G got fed up and came home with an armful of Primark T shirts once and said “wear *these * when you go to the shed!”

(I am officially an oil magnet - not magnate, unfortunately.)

Before you do anything, take it to the dry cleaners. Once you've got it "set", chances on dry cleaning working go down dramatically.

If the dry cleaners suck their teeth, try any of the above, then go on holiday to the sunniest place you can afford and get the sun to bleach it out. Wife won't notice it hanging over the balcony, honest

When I was younger - I would buy good quality Tshirts to go out in and then when they got old I would wear them to work and then buy some more good ones. Rotate them.

Now I am older - I don't got out - so just buy cheap ones to get welding splater and grease stains on them.
