I just checked our local site and they only allow 10 litres of oil a year
What am I supposed to do with the other 40 litres?
Indeed we are:What is wrong with these people? Who the hell makes up arbitrary numbers like this? More importantly, what purpose does this serve? Waste oil has a value and can actually be recycled as opposed to other "recyclables" which are nothing of the sort.
We are fekin doomed.
I never had gearbox or transfer box oil to dispose of, put plenty in though...
Just stash it in your loft or the back of the garage and leave it there when you move out. Problem solved.I just checked our local site and they only allow 10 litres of oil a year

What you're referring to there is the Landrover patented automatic underbody rust prevention system, pity they couldn't get it to spray right up to the rear crossmember!Yes, they change their own oil.
Take your small betteries to the supermarket - if the shops sell them they're supposed to have collection facilities to collect them when finished.I was telling my missus that we shouldn't put batteries in the bin and we should "recycle" them, I got one of "those" looks. So, problem solved, in the bin. Car batteries, you get about a fiver each for so that "problem" solved (for now), car tyres the tyre place charge me £1 when I buy a new tyre so that's a non-issue. Waste engine oil - I have a LOT of fence panels and my pal has an oil burning stove, we cannot get enough of it. Light bulbs and fluorescent tubes get put in a sack, smashed up with a hammer into tiny ittle pieces and put in the bin.
Why on earth would I, or indeed any thinking taxpayer want to sit in a line of cars for half an hour and then be subjected to the Spanish Inquisition by some sociopathic know-nowt and be told off for bringing five fluorescent tubes in to the the "recycling facility"because you are only allowed to bring four in?
Not in a million years.
And 6 months later it re-appears in Euro parts oil shelvesIt's not expensive to have it collected by a proper company that will supply the relevant paper trail, a firm we use will collect and recycle up to 500 gallons for £95. I wouldn't have thought that would cover transport so they obviously recycle/sell it on.

Neither are great at getting between the lines.
I wonder if they “slipped” outWhere I worked 15 years ago waste used oil was poured on the corner of local field.
I was pretty schocked, that's changed now.
Same field the circus kept their animals in until they escaped one day.
Our any kind of bonus is aided by weighing in last years dead batteries.whilst on my rounds at work I've been know to spot a car battery or two in their garden, I always ask if they'd like me to dispose of them for them. nearly always get a yes. made a few quid that way over the years. I average 20 battery's a year.
