There are NO waste engine oil recycling facilities anywhere. Years ago, I used to do an oil change and dispose of the oil at a nearby oil bank. Now there are none, the council also removed that facility from the HWRC.

I seem to recall tales of people doing oil changes on the street over the top of a drain ….
OopsI think the fact I used to work on a lot of cars was the reason someone chose the drain outside my house to dump 45 gallon of oil one night
The theory was sound, however turning around in my driveway, giving my cctv a clear shot of both people in the van and the number plate wasn't the best idea
Clowns at the local top wouldn’t let me tip a 15 litre drum as they wouldn’t accept my Landy contains about 13litre of engine oil and 2 of gearbox. Apparently I was lying? Did a lap, and then tipped it whilst he wasn’t looking
