I’m right handed, but later in life started using whatever hand was ‘handy’. Except for writing, where I’m right handed.

Left-handed except for scissors, Mrs A is the same but neither of the boys are. Like others, at primary school in the 60’s it was frowned upon and no opportunity was missed by teachers to have a pop, so much so for Mrs A that her mum went down to the school to get them to lay off.

In the meantime I’ve had the last laugh with many an IT techie trying to sort my PC at work as they try to get their heads round the mouse buttons being swapped over

Another one here. Career's teacher at school said left-handers had to tell their employer they were left handed because we were a health and safety risk in the work place. We were told to put that information in the "disability section" or "any other information section" of all job application forms.

I'm a lefty and had a hell of a time at secondary school with the English teacher as I couldn't write with an ink pen without smudging everything, the thick evil bastard had it in for me.
"Hay, teacher leave them kids alone".

At the age of 8, I suffered a ‘Greenstick’ Fracture to my left wrist (my sister pushed me off a roof) First day of summer hols. 6weeks with a gret plaster of paris cast up to my elbow.

I was not a happy bunny, especially as it stopped pulling the trigger on my BSA Cadet. So I taught myself to shoot right handed, turned out to be a very handy skill, been able to shoot around both right and left handed corners, of buildings etc
