How Does Your Garden Grow?

I also tried using a bag of supermarket spuds...they did grow but I seem to lose a lot of the crop with various pests. They were planted exactly the same as some bought seed potatoes which did much better.

I've no idea why they did so badly.

A potato crop was planted but after a short sjole the tops seemed to disappear. I wondered what was going on.
My uncle reckons that often do this to get seed potatoes. But I never saw them harvest anything.....all very weird.

Had the first spuds tonight from the "fridge reject" crop. Parboiled then sliced & fried in real butter.

The Devils Trumpet flower that I posted some time ago has lived up to its other name of Thorn Apple. The RHS advises to remove them to stop self seeding everywhere. The amount of seeds in one would cover the garden in plants and there were seventeen.
