I was faced with the same problem when trying to find a decent kitchen mixer and a separate spray tap. After trying the usual DIY chains and finding Asian tat was the only thing on the menu i walked into a bespoke kitchen showroom and ended up paying £450 for German made items of outstanding quality...decent taps are out there but be prepared to get your wallet out without cryingFitted some b&q specials taps a while back and they're cheap n nasty..whete do I need to be shopping and what do I need to spend to get something reasonble quality?

Bristan if it’s my own house. Franke are good initially but find they don’t last. The boiling water taps are terrible
Franke lasted my old kitchen & bathroom out, just replaced both after 20yrs+ when rooms refitted.....and they don't last
why pay a fortune just pay peanuts https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_...er+taps.TRS0&_nkw=kitchen+mixer+taps&_sacat=0most of the time your getting stitched up with wholesalers making vast profits
Are bath/basin both the same size hole in the sinkI like the old Pegler ones, I used to fit them in commercial places years ago and had quite a few "spare" ones in storage, I often fit 3/4" bath taps on a basin and reduce them down to 15mm pipe, They seem to last a lot longer with heavy handed people.
