A while back I was given a bucket of old horseshoes by another forum member and all that scrap wood I got hold of last week gave me an idea.
Shoes loosely arranged over the bottom of an old gas cylinder (which will become the ash pan) and held together with cable ties to check fit.
Tacked in place
Side built up
Feet tacked on
Ready to be fully welded up and fettled into shape
Need to get some stove paint for it, cut the ash pan then it’ll be ready for it’s first burn.
