Can this be used for electrolysis see what happens?

WTF does “British Made” mean on that spanner????????

I don't think it would offer any benefit to electrolysis.

British made is when it's bashed out by someone who doesn't care in somewhere like Birmingham rather than by someone who doesn't care in somewhere like Baotou.

I do have a few old spanners with either made in England or made in Sheffield stamped on them.

Thought I'd give this a try, I usually just use citric on its own.

Test spanner. As found in the scrap, after dipping, very quick wizz with the wire wheel and paint, ready to use.
Going to try it on a few other bits and pieces see if it gets that black gunk like plain citric does on some stuff.

What exactly did you use. I used evaporated and it sends most things black.
I tried ultra sonic and that did the same.

I am back to a drill and brass brush.

I did 100g of citric & 63g of baking soda per litre of water plus a dash of fairy.

I've done some other bits and the water pump pulley i did just wiped clean after i removed it so does seem to be easier to clean up after it does it's thing. I don't understand how the addition of baking soda makes that possible

Think of Michael Jackson’s monkey Bubbles.

You need to ask a chief cheif ‍ whatever.

Rumours state the baking soda makes co2. Therefore bubbles .


Try a sander for vibrations.


REFERENCE:-

One of my sanders is 10,000 rpm. Other 11,000 rpm. Difference between the two is like welding with gas and without! If your wanting to add vibration to it.

It's something like the baking soda neutralises the acid but leaves lots of molecules that are hungry for oxygen and they scoff it out of Rust leaving the metal alone.

Its as easy as ABC - Acid, Bicarbonate, Chelation...
