Help with Euro torch liner issue

Hi all

I only have experience of 'hobby torches' so euro torches are new to me. On my parweld pro the liner spring seems to be fouling the tips. So much so that it is difficult to remove the tips and the end of them is getting a bit chewed up.
I have prodded the liner back down a bit but it seems to work its way back up again.
On my hobby torch there was a smaller separate liner at the tip, however the euro torch liner appears to be the full size right to the tip.
I can't see that the torch can be dismantled, and being a euro connection i cant pull the liner back from the machine end like could on a hobby torch

Is this normal or has anyone else come across it and fixed it?

Remove the liner and file the end smooth.

Its possible that the liner has been replaced at some time and its been cut a tad too long, as supplied they come 2 or 300 mm longer than they need to be, you can release it from the euroconnector end pull it out and trim a couple of mill of with side cutters, dont overdo it though.

The way I fit them is to fit a new contact tip (without a liner In), lay the harness out straight on the floor, cut the new liner about 20mm or so longer than needed, push it through the harness till it touches the back if the tip, then measure how much is sticking out of the euroconnector, that's how much to cut off.

As Paul said above, It is important to have the torch harness straight when setting the liner length up,
