Help on a fitting

If you zoom in on pic, the gauge, does not fit into the thread correctly. I would say it , will be m18 x 1.5 . That is a common size used in hydraulics.
If you have a hydraulic hose shop , or an Agricultural Engineering place around you, they would have adapters from metric to bsp. Or a hose end insert, that you could just push your hose onto.
Search ebay for m18 hose barb , or. m18 to bsp adapter. That will let you see whats available.I
I cannot get links, to post , for some reason.

it does fit it its just a carp photo its just hard to hold the phone and hold both the unit and the thread cheaker

will do on these barbs but realy need to go to somewhere where they got a few to try as im not going to order 20 differant ones id might just buy a new watering unit as there only 18 quid

Going by this picture it takes the standard 1/2 inch fittings.

the gray part is a standard fitting its the part that the gray part screws in to its missing

if you look at the 2 photos that i took in b and q of the part thats needed

Personally I would be poking a bsp tap in the hole and get it to take normal fittings.

if I couldn't find anything to fit I'd just force a brass fitting into it, it'll cut it's own thread in the plastic

if you're worried about it, heat the brass bit up first

im thinking that but as a last resort

There is a less common inbetween size for the hozlock type fittings as I had to get one for a hose reel I have. I think it was a 5/8 but the most commo n sizes are 1/2 and 3/4

Ah Ah I see. You don't have the part that connects the two. You took a photo at b and q.

Now it all makes sense....probably a proprietary one for verve or who ever badges them up.

Looks like zinc body rather than plastic?, too thin to do much with, except perhaps epoxy a bit of pipe or bar to be tapped, would be the cheapest way.

It'll be m18 if the female ID measures 17.3mm. ~0.7mm engagement on a 1mm pitch would be quite common.

The chinese do like to use obscure fine pitch metric threads.

i like to some times do somthing for the sake of it but in ths case ive got a sprinkler i will just use that this would been handy but not for all this faff

that looks very pro job just more expensive than buying a new sprinkler

how much work is that to actualy do ive looked at 3d printing but have not got the time to wipe my backside let alone learn a new skill
