Looks like it might be this. Quick look on ebay shows plenty of m18 x 1.5mm pitch but no 1.0mm pitch
I can turn a hose barb if you cant find one.Im guessing it has the same thread where the sprinkler attaches to the base. Unscrew that and check the OD of the male thread, and if it screws into the other hole?

If you zoom in on pic, the gauge, does not fit into the thread correctly. I would say it , will be m18 x 1.5 . That is a common size used in hydraulics.
If you have a hydraulic hose shop , or an Agricultural Engineering place around you, they would have adapters from metric to bsp. Or a hose end insert, that you could just push your hose onto.
Search ebay for m18 hose barb , or. m18 to bsp adapter. That will let you see whats available.I

I do not think the second part of your statement follows from the first part. It is an erroneous leap of logic.
Yes, the gauge does not fit well. However, a 1.5mm pitch thread is 50% longer per tooth than a 1mm pitch thread. So two 1.5mm pitch threads are the same as three 1mm pitch threads (or 4 x 1.5mm = 6 x 1mm). The fit is not that bad.
If I wanted to use it, I would bore out the threads to their major diameter, loctite in a short bit of brass with the part sticking out turned to 22mm dia. and use a 22mm to 3/4" BSP male fitting on it (https://www.screwfix.com/p/endex-brass-end-feed-adapting-male-coupler-22mm-x-/43993).

I've a box of assorted hose fitttings collected over the years. I remember there are a load of m/f thread adapters in there that came with some obscure garden hose tool years ago. Plastic and all different colours. I'll see what I have in there later.

Personally I would be poking a bsp tap in the hole and get it to take normal fittings.

The pitch seems to line up in my opinion, the fit is likely more due to the difficulty of taking a photo while using a gauge.
Boring it out, theres not much meat on the part to do that.
