Anything different about the way it's being driven this year?
I bought a tidy Rover 216 from the auctions, on a 300 mile run down South it wasn't willing to go over 65mph, on the run back it was happy at 80+ My guess is it had always been a "30mph at most" town car and a good long run on the motorway blew the cobwebs out of the motor
Try an Italian tune up, it costs nothing but the fuel and can be fun
