Heating oil theft.

My boat had two oil tanks , one each side and a hand pump for dispensing whale oil to work as spray suppression when coming along side on a service in gales ,, now whether it worked or not I dont know , but the RNLI wouldnt have fitted them if they didnt work ,,, so theres science behind the saying after all

I believe it was done during the war to air picking up survivors too

A chemical engineer friend of mine insists that before long we will be mining rubbish tips for old plastic bags to reclaim the oil ,,, an interesting thought .

Think they may have already started opening them up to reclaim all the stuff that we now recycle, Holland or Belgium not sure, but can remember watching a programme on it some time back.
