I’ve had oil central heating installed in my house and the boiler was fired up for the first time yesterday.
The mrs woke up yesterday to a strong smell of heating oil and upon looking in the utility there was an obvious leakage. Turns out one of the joints in the new pipe work had failed.
Annoyingly I’m not back home until the weekend and my mrs is 9 months pregnant but bless her she tried her best to clean it up
The limestone floor is brand spanking new and whilst the tiles are sealed it hasn’t had the final coats of sealant so the grout has just absorbed it all up by the looks of it. The new plaster has also soaked some up.
So far it’s been mopped up as much as possible and been washed with hot soapy water. What else can I use to try and get it out the grout especially?
Is this unfortunate or a poor show from the plumber? On top of this we’ve had two small leaks he’s had to fix from the radiator pipe work he installed (we caught them early though).
