Depends how you make it or what one you buy...or what shape you want to form... I'm not talking the little Clarke ones.What would that bend? Genuine question….

thats good to know.Used to do 20mm black drop bolts in a miracle bender no problem.
I would never use electricity to heat a house. But a microwave oven is far more efficient that a gas cooker. An induction hob also only puts the heat where you want it. Same with an induction heater. If you want to heat just a small part of the bar you will use far less energy just heating that tiny bit of steel.
We could chip in for a couple of tickets to the top of Everest where they could save even more on their choice of water boiling method . . . water boils at 71 C at that height@not done it yet & @fizzy - knock it off, you are spoiling this thread!
