Tonnes. Couldn’t even begin to seal it up. My dad built the workshop using scrap and what he could get his hands on.How many "holes" are there in the shop? If you're able to block them off reasonably well then it might be worth running a dehumidifier in there constantly.
Dad has a refrigerated container inside one of his workshops (and thus reasonably well sealed) and just leaves a dehumidifier on in there constantly, not only does it dry the air but it also warms it up.
I used a tubular heater in my diy rod warming cabinet. In an effort to beat the condensation/rust i want to install a heater under the drawers in my lista cabinet, theres probably a 40mm gap. What sort of heater would be best? A tube heater or something along those lines or a heat pad?
Is that like a trace heating cable? I've seen guys wrap it around the head of a power washer during winter to prevent it from freezing during the cold spellsYou're sorted anyway, but you can buy this cable stuff that you just chop to length and wire up and it gives out heat. I can't remember what it's called but it's kind of flat / figure of eight, and about half an inch wide.
Iirc its just mains voltage. You literally cut it and wire on a plug (I guess terminating the cut end also)
I have some that was given to me but I never got around to using it.
I was going to wrap it around pipes that held fluids that would freeze at about 25c.
Yep, I think that's the name of it.Is that like a trace heating cable? I've seen guys wrap it around the head of a power washer during winter to prevent it from freezing during the cold spells
what type of drawers are you heating upBeen playing with the dimplex tube heater. I’d need about one per drawer to do anything meaningful I think, so obvious 40W isn’t sufficient.
So we are either back to trace heating, heating pads or enclosure heaters.
I’m going to lob the other heater in the other side of the cabinet and see if that improves matters, but I doubt they’d even stop the temperature swings let alone heat the cabinet up to 15 degrees or so.
It’s a lista sliding door cabinet. 2 metres wide by 800 deep by 1 meter highwhat type of drawers are you heating up
heat mat wont do it as it needs a thermostat for tanks
and yes it can be done just need some info from you
