I can honestly say i did not enjoy watching that! I think i will stick to my step ladder when repairing machines.

I am not a fan of horror films and yawned my way through Saw and various other grisly movies but this did get me scared , I can also see the downfalls of doing this job . What happens if the bloke at the top needs a piddle or a no 2 , does the one below him have to take avoiding action or do they wear nappies surely they cant hold on all that time ?

i had a nightmare like that once. ( not about a tower though, it was a bamboo scaffold in the desert, before anyone starts quoting freud ) now i've watched that i need a hot bath to get my nads back down

One question though, how the hell do they build them? are they helio lifted up?

There built in sections with a boggy on the side that lifts it up then rotates it in place done properly its safer than ladders

Sirdick....you want to try havin a 2 in a harness from a hanging belay

should not take that long to climb... they had a lift to 1600ft, & thats not even a small mountain rest is jist a 150ft ladder.... easy peasy (used to climb a lot in another life)
