Matey your going to regret not waiting for the concrete pad...The machine is going to resonate something shocking through that frame. Btw do you know the filling quantity for the headstock oil? ive a feeling ive got a tad too much in mine.

Oops, hope not! The idea was so that I could level it, rise it as well as move it in future.

If it's terrible, I can always just use the frame as an OTT concrete shutter!

Don't know the oil volume. Mine has a sight gauge. I could measure the level from the bottom of the housing to the sight level?

Would it not be better to raise it up on wooden blocks as that would absorb any vibrations? Something like a railway sleeper cut into short sections could work and if you can get an oak one would be plenty strong enough.

That is a considerable step up, what's the little felow it is replacing?

It's an old Winfield thing. I'd have liked to keep it as it's pretty compact and spins a fair bit faster than this one.... But someone from eBay is picking it up Saturday. Can't keep everything
