Spear and Jackson predator, two for a tenner i think from b&q.

I always buy a first and second fix, does fine for everything I have asked of them, even ripping full sheets of 18mm ply.

The bahco trade style ones are good too.

The spear and Jackson uPVC saw is tremendous for fine finishing in wood, Irwin also do a smaller fine saw that was good.

I had a sandvic till some thieving scrote joiner pinched it at work they even swap your disposable saws if yours is sharper than there's I mark my tools though

yeah and those pesky sparkys are just as bad for borrowing tools as well even borrow and take a pair of ladders home that they think is theres

Yup . horses for courses.
Prefer the fatmax because there stiff without much flex in the blade.
Often working wrong handed in awkward position so pays dividends.
Various other bachos/s&j in the van but always go for the former

A bahco/sandvik 244, great saw, lasts for ages. Avoid the 244P, it has a thicker blade & is supposed to be more accurate. Unfortunately the thicker blade makes it a lot harder to use, your arm will get a good workout!

Hmm. All much of a muchness? One of my favourite YouTubers is a chap called Paul Sellers. Worth having a look at his blog too.

Bought one of each TPI but there's not much in it at my level of "woodworking" so a single 8PPI universal is good for just about anything. You can't ripsaw anything like as effectively with these modern crosscuts even when they are pin sharp. Plus they wear out in no time but in fact of course they can be re-sharpened either by annealing and filing or simply grinding. But for £7 it's hardly worth the effort. Very decent quality spring steel/toolsteel though which you get due to economy of scale. They sell them by the million as "disposables". It's almost worth buying one for the steel!
