It works great, when I have a few hours constant blasting I get father to do the hoovering he can keep up with me. And that's sucking up heavy steal grit not the expendable media which is lighter.

Are you using a bag filter/extractor after the cyclone? Or a separate motor/fan?

Here you go, its a large extractor I haven't got the spec on it,


not a bag filter as such, that the bag holds the dust. The air gets drawn through the bags trapping the dust and every now and then the bags shake and the dust and rubbish is collected in the steel bin at the bottom. When I used it first I just cut a hole in the side of the marquee



but when I got the shed I made its own shed and I fitted it with ducting onto the cyclone I made.



I also have in the bottom of the hoover part another mesh to stop any big stuff going up through the system.

Those extractors are really good. You get a lot of filter area with the pleated bags. I used to sell them along with wood working machinery for fine dust extraction. The 10hp ones have huge suction power.

I saw these a while ago and thought they would be ideal as I can have one continuous length from one side up to the ceiling across and down the other side. Then put a separate section on the floor. All different sizes and thicknesses. Just need to check the prices for the used ones are cheap enough.

Yes this one came from a large woodworking plant I think got real lucky, this one cost me 50 quid and local so I could collect myself.

. That is a good deal. £1000 all day long in clean used condition.

I’m not sure if it’s £20 m2 but they come in all sorts of thickness so must all be different prices. When I get serious about setting up a bigger blasting space I’ll contact them and let you know. For now the cabinet is very easy to setup and use for blasting my Land Rover parts.

i think there prices are by the meter depending on condition
