For the best approximation of the manufacturing date, check out that IC (black rectangular 8-legged component) at top left of the PCB... the bottom line of text on it will have a date code that looks like 8536 (week 36 of 1985). Assuming the IC hasn't been changed since the welder was built, it was probably installed to the PCB within a couple of months or so of the date code.

So I take it it's a 1999 ?

Yes it would and the board is 49th week so yeah that makes sense .

My supermig has the same poor fan setup. it has never overheated in all the time I've had it, it's been used on full power for quite long periods with no problems.

Mine is only used on about setting 4 most of the time I don't really do too much really big stuff.

I went and looked the only numbers I could see were these in the top right hand corner of this photo View attachment 40458

I have a sealey battery charger, the serial number is on the exact same type of sticker as you have shown in this picture

It's looking likely to be made by the same company as sealey then wonderful!

I've just looked at the manual it came with and the first language on every page was Italian so I assume it's assembled there..
Anyway cleaned it up today looks much better took the feed gearbox apart and re greased it too. It really doesn't look like it's been used too much.
