Gorilla tape?
Buy wider belts at the right length and rip em down.Yeah, It IS starting to sound like a bit of a faff. Every video I've seen just slice the roll material off at an angle and about 1/2" oversized, buff off the sanding media from one or both ends, Then glue and clamp it. Some use a straight edge to ensure its all in line, Some just line it up against the other side of the belts loop. It looked like a ridiculously simple process. Now I'm looking at buying special glues and GRP tape to make this work !
I almost want to just try buffing and PVAing a loop together just to see what happens. I know PVA is still reasonably flexable when its dry, I'm guessing that it's probably strong enough if I get it into the fibers of the backing material and clamp the thing tight to dry, But I have a feeling PVA doesnt like high heat........ $0d it, When I get chance I'll just try that and see what happens before spending anything else !
